Patrick, an STM 7th Grader, interviewed Mrs. Lynn Malerba, the U.S. Treasurer (one of the senior Treasury Department executives) and asked about both her role as the Treasurer and the Chief of the Mohegan Tribe in Connecticut.
Patrick was inspired to interview her as a result of Ms. Romero's teachings about Native American tribes in history class. If interested in seeing Mrs. Malerba's signature, check your wallets or purses, as it is on all dollars minted since late 2022! The Treasurer started her career as a nurse after graduating from University of Saint Joseph, a Catholic university in CT.

2nd-5th Graders may sign up for Homework Hour with Mrs. Parente (4th) or Mr. Biehler (2nd), where students can ask questions and seek guidance from 3:20pm - 4:20pm for $20 a session. Pick up will be at Door 2 (facing the library) at 4:20pm. See Google Form below to register.

Social Grace, an independent practice of coaches, therapists, & practitioners, is offering two after school enrichment programs. Flyers and Social Grace's website are included.

American Heritage Girls, a Christian scouting organization dedicated to building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country, is open to girls K-12. Troop 1381 meets at St. Rita's School on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Tuesdays at 6:30 pm. Next meetings: 10 Sep (Tue) and 24 Sep (Tue). STM has an award-winning band program for 4th-8th Graders where lessons occur during the school day. The culminates in multiple concerts and a trip!
(There is also a link to study how students in band do compared to non-band students in high school.)
