Congratulations to Mrs. Genevieve McCarthy Kelly

Congratulations to Mrs. Genevieve McCarthy Kelly, STM’93, who was awarded the Sister Maria Angelica Alumni Service Award.

Mrs. Kelly attended Bishop O'Connell and then the University of Virginia, where she majored in English and Philosophy. She returned to O'Connell after college as a teacher, and then later served as co-founding assistant principal of Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School--a Catholic, college-prep high school in Takoma Park that exclusively serves economically-disadvantaged students.

Now an attorney, Genevieve credits STM School with giving her a strong academic foundation that continues to help her today. She and her husband John are proud STM parents to Jack, Monica, and Desmond, and (like many STM parents) do their best to support our school by coaching sports teams, volunteering on the PTO, & lending their skills & experiences to STM teachers and administrators wherever they can.
