All students in the Diocese of Arlington are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) which is administered to 8th grade students during the fall or winter months. Bishop O'Connell High School offers 7th grade students the chance to take a practice HSPT (Pre-HSPT) during the spring or summer months.
The next Pre-HSPT is offered on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
Test time: 8:00 - 11:00 a.m.
$50 non-refundable fee
Check in: 7:30 - 7:45 a.m.
Drop-off and pick-up will be at entrance #1 near the flag pole at the front of the school.
Please Note:
- The exam begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 11:00 a.m.
- Check-in takes place between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. at the front entrance across from the flagpole.
- There are no accommodations for this exam, and calculators cannot be used.
- Students may not leave early from the exam.
Scores will be sent to families in June and will not be shared with other schools and will not be used in the Bishop O'Connell admissions process.
We will also be offering a parent presentation by Mr. Bill Crittenberger, Head of School, about the Bishop O'Connell student experience at 8:15 a.m. This will take place in the school library and there will be time allocated for questions and answers.
