Dear Parents,
As you know, Mrs. Cathy Davis announced she is retiring effective July 1, 2023. I want to recognize Mrs. Davis for her strong leadership of St. Thomas More School during her 4-year tenure as principal. She performed her duties with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a true dedication for the students, staff, and entire Cathedral School community. I share in her joy of the amazing things occurring currently at St. Thomas More and in her confidence of the many great things to come through the ongoing support that the staff and families lend to the school.
The Diocese, in conjunction with our search committee, will soon begin the selection process for the next principal of St. Thomas More School. An important first step in this procedure is to inform faculty, staff, parents, and community members about this process. To begin, we are asking parents and teachers to complete a survey to better understand their priorities for this position and to provide any additional comments they find pertinent to the principal search committee.
Throughout the principal search process, there are multiple levels of interviews which will take place to select a candidate who is the best fit for leading St. Thomas More School into the future.
The following dates will guide our selection process:
March 1 – Principal Application Pool Closes
March 1 – March 6 - Parent and Teacher Survey
March 13 - March 24 – First Round Interviews
March 27 – March 31 – Second Round Interviews
We hope to introduce the new principal at the beginning of May.
