Arlington Little League, a non-profit based in Arlington, VA, provides a recreational baseball experience for children ages 4 - 13. Registration is now open for the Spring season, as described in the attached flyer.
A little bit about our program:
- We operate under a charter from Little League International, and are part of Virginia District 4 which includes Falls Church, Alexandria, McLean, Vienna, and some other northern Virginia cities.
- We are a 100% volunteer run organization.
- We have about 1,200-1,400 registrants in the Spring and 600-800 in the Fall; our registrants primarily live or attend school in Arlington.
- We offer full scholarships (free registration) to anyone who expresses a need for one. No documentation is required.
- Many members of our Board of Directors and our coaches have in-depth experience with the sport, having played in high school, college, and even at the professional level.
- As a recreational program, our objective is to teach the game and instill a love for baseball, while also supporting each child's personal development and sense of community. We believe there continues to be a place for recreational sports in a hyper-competitive world.
- We give back to the community in various ways, including by sponsoring charity fundraisers, using our platform to collect food for our local food assistance center, and funding a need-based scholarship for an Arlington student who played baseball or softball in high school.
