Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement has returned to in-person volunteering! JA teaches kids about financial literacy in Prince George’s, Fairfax, and Montgomery Counties through field trips to one of our finance parks that teaches them how to plan and manage personal finances. We’re looking to recruit some volunteers for our upcoming Finance Park events! 

At Junior Achievement Finance Parks, volunteers spend a day guiding middle school students through a personal budgeting simulation that lasts between 4-5.5 hours. You’ll receive a training at the beginning of the day that briefly goes over expectations for the day, the curriculum students have learned, and a how-to on guiding and advising students through their role-playing experience. Adults from all walks of life are welcome and it’s a great opportunity to act as a mentor and pass down wisdom from bill-paying experience!
