St. Thomas More Band Parents and Students,
St. Thomas More Advanced and Beginner Bands will perform an end-of-the-year concert in May. A school Fine Arts concert will start at Thursday May 26th at about 7:25 P.M. In order to keep things simple, the dress code for the concert will be the daily school summer or winter uniform for classes.
I am excited to do a concert for the first time in over 2 years, and many of the students have never played a concert before, much less been in a band. I would like everyone to think about this meeting as a "info-concert", which means a sharing of information about band classes, along with a display of our students' musical achievements. Believe it or not the advanced band and the beginners have rehearsed only a small number of times together before this concert.
Student attendance is super important, we simply are down to the smallest number of instruments, however the band is bigger than last year! We have had a good year in our lessons and I do sense there is interest. I hope to see everyone on Thursday, May 26th, at 7:25 P.M. (6:45 arrival time).
