Q. My child has been out with a symptom of illness. What do I need in order for them to return to school?
A. School policy has not changed. Your student needs either a negative lab-performed Covid test or a note from a health care provider clearing their return to school. This note may be obtained from a virtual visit.
Q. I would like to opt-out my child from masks, but the form does not seem to work. What do I do?
A. The form was retired when masks were dropped as a required element of the uniform a few weeks back. Parents may continue to send their students to school with a mask if they would like, but masks are no longer universally enforced.
Q. I am dreadfully tired of Covid. How do I ensure these policies don't apply to my family?
A. The clinic staff is here to report that we too are dreadfully tired of Covid, but the same rules must apply to every family. The good news is that the easing of contact tracing requirements that Principal Davis describes in her letter should help ensure that children who are well are not excluded from school.
Q. When will Covid end?
A. "Two weeks to flatten the curve" just celebrated its two year anniversary.
Q. Will there ever be another pandemic?
A. Let's pray the next pandemic holds off until our children's children's children have children!
