Teacher Spotlight

My name is Ms. Elizabeth Beaulieu. I grew up outside Syracuse,NY and moved to Virginia in 2010 to attend Marymount University. I graduated with a BA in Psychology and went on to get a MA in School Counseling from Marymount as well. While I was attending college I was a substitute teacher at St Thomas More.

Following my graduation I taught 11th and 12th graders college and career skills at a special education school in DC. I realized I loved teaching but wanted to teach the younger grades. Following teaching high school, I started teaching at St Ambrose in Annandale. During that time I decided I wanted to get more education (I love learning!!) which led me to getting a Masters of Education in Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University. I am a licensed teacher in Virginia.

This is my sixth year teaching, fifth year in the diocese and second year teaching at St Thomas More. I love teaching and that moment when a student has the "light bulb" and gets a concept or has a breakthrough in the classroom. At St Ambrose I ran a few after school activities such as sign language club and a book club for 3rd and 4th grade that we named Battle of the Books Jr. I am so excited to be back at STM!
