Following Arlington Public Schools decision, Saint Thomas More Cathedral School will close beginning Monday, March 16, 2020. School will remain closed through our Spring Break, Friday, April 17, 2020. We will return to school on Monday, April 20, 2020.
We are prepared to continue educational studies remotely. We have a strong technology department, one to one student to device ratios and our teachers are extremely proficient in distance learning techniques. In grades 3 through 8 we have become resident experts in Google Classroom applications. We also have a cadre of very savvy PreK, Kindergarten and 2nd grade teachers who will utilize Seesaw to its fullest extent.
Starting Tuesday, March 17, we will implement Snowflake Studies Day 1, 2 and 3 for course work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (recall that Monday is a Holiday).
Beginning Friday, March 20, please log into the STM Website and access your child’s teacher webpage. There you will discover our plans for successful distance learning. Teachers will continue to communicate with you via email. Please do not hesitate to reach out to them electronically with your questions.
This is new territory for all of us but we feel confident that we are up to the challenge.
