Happy back to school month. The start of a new school year brings a lot of emotions in all of us, especially in our students.
This month we are going to focus on learning how to regulate our Emotions. Emotional control is the ability to manage emotions to achieve goals, complete tasks, or control and direct your behavior. Being able to control your emotions also means being able to access positive emotions to help you overcome obstacles or to keep you going during difficult times.
The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique is a great way to help students regulate their emotions and stay focused. Encouraging them to practice this technique can be a valuable tool for managing emotions and promoting success in school and beyond.
