Trivia Night: 21 Feb (Fri) at 6:30pm
The Cathedral is hosting a Trivia Night on 21 Feb (Fri) in Burke Hall (Cathedral's basement) to raise money for teens going to Work Camp this summer. Doors open at 6:30pm and trivia starts at 7:30pm. Early Bird tickets are $8, pizza will also be sold. Link to RSVP and for more info is below.
Alum Spotlight: Hope Dickson ('21)
Hope Dickson, a '21 STM alumni and Georgetown Visitation Senior, was named 1 of 10 students in the country to receive the 2025 Youth Virtues, Valor, and Vision Award from the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA)! Hope is an aspiring engineer, did a summer internship at NASA, and volunteers with the Diocese's WorkCamp. Feel free to read either of the articles below on this impressive STM Alum.
Author Elise Daniel's Visit: 20 Feb (Thr)
Elise Daniel, an author from Purcellville, VA, will visit STM on 20 Feb (Thr) to read her book, "The Richest Leprechaun in Ireland", which was featured in the Arlington Catholic Herald (link below). Families can buy a copy for $25 at: https://solemnitybooks.com/shop. To ensure students can bring them in on 20 Feb to read along and get it autographed, please order them by 12 Feb (Wed).
Vacation Bible School: 23-27 Jun (Mon-Fri)
The Cathedral is hosting Vacation Bible School (VBS) the mornings of 23-27 June! Joins us at Camp True North, where campers will learn to trust Jesus in a wild world. Registration is open below for rising 1st to 6th graders. Campers will explore Bible stories, get hands on with crafts and experiments, and make new friends. Early Bird Registration is only $80 until 30 Apr (Wed) and covers activities, snacks, and a t-shirt. Rising 7th to 12th graders and fully-compliant adults (i.e., background check and then VIRTUS) are invited to volunteer as camp staff. There will be a volunteer interest meeting 18 Feb (Tue) at 7pm in Room 4 (enter at Door 2). This meeting is a no-commitment opportunity to get more information, but please RSVP.
