Military Child Month: Pictures for a Wall of Heroes

April is the Month of the Military Child and we are creating a "Wall of Heroes" near the cafeteria with pictures of parents who are serving or served in the military. Each parent may submit one picture (no larger than 4x6, preferably in uniform) in an envelope to the office with the following info on a post-it note: rank, name, branch, years of service, and STM student - by 11 Apr (Fri). An example is below. Please do not submit originals, as we cannot guarantee they will be returned. Thank you for your service!

#PurpleUp Day: 9 Apr (Wed)

April is the Month of the Military Child and Virginia's #PurpleUp Day, where children of military parents wear purple, is 9 Apr (Wed). Students may wear purple accessories and sweatshirts with their parent's military branch that day! National #PurpleUp Day is 15 Apr (Tue), so you can also wear purple on your day off!
